An Oxford University student took his own life after facing what a UK court described as "pervasive cancel culture" due to an unproven allegation made by his ex-partner.
Alexander Rogers, 20, was found in the River Thames on January 15, just days after friends and classmates reportedly cut off contact when his former partner shared the undisclosed allegation, according to This Is Oxfordshire.
Though the allegation was not reported to authorities or the university, it led to Rogers being "ostracized" in what was described at the court hearing as a "pile-on" effect contributing to his isolation.
