Mass Shooting Leaves 11 Dead in Montenegro

 

 A devastating mass shooting has shaken the small Balkan nation of Montenegro, leaving at least 11 people dead and several others wounded. The tragedy occurred in the southern town of Cetinje, where a 45-year-old gunman, identified as Aleksandar Martinović, opened fire in a restaurant following a verbal altercation.

The attack, which took place on a quiet afternoon, sent shockwaves through the tight-knit community. The gunman, who was reportedly known to the authorities, killed several members of his own family, including his wife and two children, as well as the restaurant owner and two of their children.

After the rampage, Martinović fled the scene, but was later surrounded by police. In a tragic finale, he took his own life, bringing the death toll to 11.

Montenegro's government has declared three days of national mourning, with Prime Minister Milojko Spajic describing the incident as a "terrible tragedy". The country's authorities have launched an investigation into the shooting, which has left the nation in a state of shock and grief.
