On January 2, 2025, a devastating small-plane crash shook the city of Fullerton, California. A single-engine Van's RV-10 aircraft, shortly after takeoff from Fullerton Municipal Airport, plummeted into a furniture manufacturing building, leaving a trail of destruction. The crash resulted in the tragic deaths of two individuals and injuries to 19 others, marking a grim start to the new year.
The incident unfolded less than two minutes after the plane left the ground. The pilot, reportedly an experienced aviator, requested an immediate return to the airport but failed to specify the nature of the emergency. Tragically, the aircraft did not make it back, crashing into the warehouse and igniting a fire. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with emergency services working tirelessly to rescue victims and extinguish the flames.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have launched an investigation to uncover the cause of the crash. Officials have yet to disclose the identities of the deceased.
